Meetup#42 "Blockchain Bazaar: Career Opportunities"

The eSatya’s Meetup #42, held virtually on 24th June 2024 via Google Meet, delved into the exciting realm of blockchain technologies under the theme "Blockchain Bazaar: Career Opportunities." This virtual event provided a unique platform for attendees to explore the latest advancements in blockchain, exchange innovative ideas, and connect with industry experts from the comfort of their own screens. Whether seasoned professionals or curious newcomers, the Blockchain Bazaar offered a valuable opportunity to learn, collaborate, and thrive within the virtual blockchain community.

The discussion kicked off by tracing the evolution of the web and how it has shaped careers and business models over time. The speakers delved into the diverse career opportunities within the blockchain space beyond traditional roles like Blockchain Developers. They shed light on various blockchain models, both in technical and non-technical domains, and shared insights on starting a career as a blockchain developer along with the essential roadmap. Additionally, they shared personal experiences and insights on their journey into the field.

The first presentation at the event featured Mr. Manjik Shrestha, an accomplished Blockchain Developer/Lead renowned for his expertise in developing decentralized applications on Ethereum and crafting Enterprise permissioned blockchains. A distinguished graduate of the ConsenSys Developers Bootcamp 2019, Mr. Shrestha also holds the esteemed position of ConsenSys Ambassador for Nepal, actively championing blockchain education and adoption within the region.

Following Mr. Shrestha, Er. Shubham Tiwari took the virtual stage as the second speaker. With a solid background spanning over five years in decentralized technologies, Er. Tiwari specializes in areas such as smart contracts, DeFi, blockchain games, tokenomics, DEX, and blockchain security. Fueled by a passionate belief in blockchain's transformative power, he is currently dedicated to advancing zero-knowledge technology to bolster security and drive widespread adoption.

Ms. Amina Manandhar, the Community Manager at eSatya, expertly moderated the event, supported by eSatya's partners Prime IT Club and Digital Notice Media Lab. This engaging virtual meetup, hosted on Google Meet, drew an eager audience of 45 participants comprising students, clubs, and industry professionals keen to explore the diverse facets of blockchain technology.

The session concluded with a dynamic question and answer segment, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage with the speakers and gain valuable insights. The event, spanning an hour in duration, offered a rich learning experience and networking opportunity for all involved.
