Meetup#32 "Blockchain in Blood Supply"

 

The 32th meetup from eSatya was successfully held on 28th December, 2022. The meetup was entitled “Blockchain in Blood Supply”. The main mission of organizing a Meetup on the theme is to bring together experts and interested individuals to discuss the potential applications of blockchain technology in the blood supply chain. 

Overall, the use of blockchain in the blood supply chain could help to ensure the safety and quality of blood products, and potentially save lives. So, It is important for all individuals to be aware of the potential benefits of this technology in order to understand how it may be used to improve healthcare systems.

The speaker for the meetup was Mrs. Shristi Piya, who is a  Co-founder at Agriclear who has also worked as Head of R&D at Hamro Life Bank. She has expertise in the use of technology to improve blood management systems, including the development of digital tools and systems for tracking and analyzing blood supply data. She also have gained experience in data analysis, project management, and the use of technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

The meetup was moderated by Ms. Amina Manandhar and was supported by the Ethereum Support Program, CSIT Association of Nepal, Prime IT Club , Digital Notice Media Lab and Club 25 Prime Chapter. It was hosted in the Zoom platform and was streamed live via eSatya’s Facebook page and shared in supportive partners page too. 42 attendees attended the meetup in Zoom and 8 people attended the meetup through eSatya’s Facebook page.

The session was followed by an interesting question and answer sessionat the end where the participant’s queries were answered by the speaker. The entire session was one hour long and was attended by students, clubs and other professionals.
