Meetup #44: "Next-Gen Tech for Every Voice"

On August 23, 2024, eSatya, in collaboration with Hamro Lifebank, successfully hosted its 44th meetup titled "Next-Gen Tech for Every Voice" at Aranya Hotel. The event united individuals from diverse backgrounds, all passionate about harnessing the transformative power of technology. The day was marked by insightful discussions, engaging panel sessions, and meaningful networking opportunities, making it a truly enriching experience for everyone involved. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our volunteer partner, the Presidential Graduate School, for their incredible support in making this event a success. Their unwavering dedication and hard work were instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of the event. As a gesture of gratitude, we presented a small token of appreciation and a gift hamper from our generous sponsors to our esteemed speakers and panelists. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Bhulukha Bags, The Yarn Nepal, and Vasuki Designs for their support, which was instrumental in making today’s event a success.

The session, anchored by the capable Ms. Aayushi Karmacharya, featured insightful talks from two distinguished speakers. Mr. Rushil Shakya, Co-Founder and Lead Instructor of TEJ Fellowship led a discussion on "Fostering Innovation through Diverse Perspectives." At the same time, Ms. Shristi Piya, Chief Development Officer at Rumsan Associates, shared her expertise on "Navigating the Challenges of Tech Adoption in Traditional Industries."

Panel Discussion Highlights:

The event also included a dynamic panel discussion moderated by Mrs. Hima Tamang, which brought together prominent voices in the tech community:

  • Rushil Shakya discussed integrating emerging technologies into the TEJ Fellowship curriculum, emphasizing diversity, inclusion, and the ethical implications of technology.

  • Nhasala Joshi spoke about the challenges and successes in integrating tech into leadership training for women through WLiT, focusing on diversity, inclusion, and addressing gender bias in the tech industry.

  • Riya Shrestha highlighted how CodeRush equips young developers with skills applicable across industries, ensures inclusivity, and instills a strong sense of ethical responsibility.

  • Rabina Maharjan shared her experiences integrating technology into her school’s curriculum, promoting diversity, and teaching students the ethical implications of tech use.

As the discussion concluded, the floor was opened to questions from the audience, providing an excellent opportunity for attendees to participate in this enriching dialogue directly with our speakers and panelists. 

The event was a compelling exploration of how technology  is continuously reshaping various industries and educational sectors, providing valuable insights into the future of tech innovation
