On May 3, 2021, eSatya. organized an online session on Blockchain for Agriculture. The speakers were Ashmita Manandhar Shrestha, Community Manager, eSatya, and Shristi Piya, Co-Founder and Project Lead AgriClear. The session was attended by the students of the Group of Agriculture and Veterinary Students (GAVS) from Agriculture and Forestry University, Bharatpur, Nepal. The session was an hour long and was a rather interactive one. Ms Ashmita talked about the history behind blockchain technology, bitcoin along with blockchain technology, blockchain products such as AgriClear, Bhoo.me, Chino, CertFYI, Rahat, and myths related to blockchain. Likewise, Ms.Shristi shared about the use cases of Agriclear in the real scenario and the problems and challenges faced during the first pilot project of AgriClear, a blockchain product. Later, the floor was opened for the networking session where the attendees were interested to know more about how blockchain can be used in agriculture.
