On April 7th, 2024, eSatya and Women Leaders in Technology (WLiT) joined forces to host an insightful virtual "Blockchain 101'' Session. Ms. Sarila Ngakhusi, Program Co-manager at WLiT, efficiently coordinated the event, which drew the active participation of 13 eager attendees. Ms. Amina Manandhar, leading eSatya's dedicated team, collaborated with Ms. Sakshi Nepal, a Developer at Rumsan and the session's speaker, to ensure its smooth execution.
The subsequent segments of the session provided a comprehensive overview of blockchain technology. Ms. Lhakpa Sherpa, a WLiT member, served as the session host, introducing Ms. Sakshi and inviting her to delve into the Evolution of Web 3.0. This discussion underscored the revolutionary changes in internet technology. The session then transitioned to elucidating the fundamental concepts behind blockchain technology and exploring its data structure and applications in decentralized finance (DeFi).
Moreover, misconceptions surrounding blockchain were dispelled through a segment dedicated to addressing common myths and facts. The audience actively engaged in a stimulating Q&A session. Practical advice was offered for individuals embarking on a blockchain journey, complemented by Ms. Sakshi's firsthand experiences in the web 3.0 landscape. Participants also displayed a strong enthusiasm for the blockchain fellowship program and requested additional information about it throughout the session. This initiative was underscored as a focal point of the conversation, indicating the audience's desire to explore more immersive involvement in blockchain technology. Notably, Sakshi's prior participation in the Blockchain fellowship program before joining Rumsan as a developer added depth to the discussion.
