BIA at G. P. Koirala College of Agriculture

On May 12, 2023, eSatya, in collaboration with Agriclear and with the support of the Ethereum Foundation, organized a Blockchain session on the topic of "Blockchain in Agriculture." The session was presented by Ms. Shristi Khayargoli, an Agricultural researcher at Agriclear, was attended by the 12 students of  G.P. Koirala College of Agriculture and Research Centre (GPCAR) of Morang district.

During the session, Ms. Shristi Khayargoli provided an overview of Blockchain technology and its application in Agtech. She explained its history, how it is being used in Agtech, and shared real-life examples. Ms. Shristi also discussed the challenges involved in implementing Blockchain-based solutions, such as the need for uniformity, compatibility, and information privacy protection. She omitted the explanation of the concept of the Internet and the differentiation between web 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0.

The session concluded with a Q&A round, where the students had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify their doubts about Blockchain technology and its applications in the agriculture sector. Overall, the session was a success in providing the students with an introductory understanding of Blockchain technology and its potential applications in agriculture.
