On August 22, 2024, eSatya successfully conducted a virtual Blockchain 101 session for the Himalaya College of Engineering students. Titled "Understanding Blockchain Wallet," the session saw 37 enthusiastic participants and was led by Ms. Amina Manandhar, along with Mr. Mani Byanjankar and Mr. Binod Chaudhary.
Mr. Binod Chaudhary started the session by discussing the Evolution of Web 3.0, focusing on the transformative changes in Internet technology. He provided an insightful overview of blockchain technology, explaining key concepts that make it revolutionary. His discussion on Blockchain Data Structures shed light on how data is securely managed within a blockchain, further delving into the rising field of decentralized finance (DeFi).
Mr. Mani Byanjankar continued the session by diving into the MetaMask Wallet, one of the most popular platforms for interacting with decentralized applications (dApps) built on blockchain. He guided participants through a hands-on demonstration of MetaMask’s functionalities, helping them understand how blockchain wallets work. In addition, he introduced Permissioned Blockchains, explaining how they differ from public blockchains like Bitcoin, with specific rules governing participation.
The session also tackled common myths about blockchain, debunking misconceptions with clear explanations. A highly engaging Q&A followed, where participants received practical advice on how to start their blockchain journey.
