What to expect from eSatya’s Blockchain Fellowship?

One of my most memorable experiences was being a part of the eSatya Blockchain fellowship session in 2021. I am grateful that I got this opportunity to participate in such a wonderful program.  I was very excited and thrilled to know that I was being selected for this program. I often had attempted to learn the blockchain by myself, but it turned out to be quite difficult. No doubt there are materials all over the internet but, the proper guidance and mentorship proved to be more fruitful and effective.

Firstly, in this program, we learned a theoretical overview of Blockchain and its terminologies such as hashing, decentralization, and other terms. Likewise, we had been taught about different wallets and our first practical assignment was to create a basic wallet. Every week, we were given different tasks to complete, to develop our knowledge and skills. As communication is a key component in the exchange of ideas, we were able to communicate and interact with our instructor via Slack at any time to clear our doubts about assignments or any other related topics. Further, we had also worked our way up from a simple basic contract to some advanced contract. It had been my great experience to learn about Ethereum as well as Hyperledger fabric and other Blockchain-related topics such as blockchain scaling, IPFS, Geth, Consensys Quorum as this fellowship program has helped me broaden my knowledge and also my way of thinking in the area of blockchain.

During the completion of my fellowship, a blockchain-based medical report storage system entitled Medossier was prepared and submitted. I collaborated with Ranju G.C. as a team to complete our final project. Working with Ranju was a wonderful experience; from correcting each other's silly mistakes to appreciating each other's work, we developed a special bond and hope to work together again soon.

Through this fellowship program, I'd say that our theoretical and technical knowledge of blockchain has advanced pretty well from not knowing anything about blockchain to understanding a core notion of blockchain. Furthermore, I'd want to thank all of our instructors, as well as the eSatya Rumsan group of companies, for offering me this opportunity.
