Revolutionizing Nepal through Blockchain Technology

Blockchain technology is rapidly transforming various industries across the globe, and Nepal is no exception. eSatya, a blockchain initiative launched by Rumsan Associates in 2018, has been at the forefront of promoting awareness and education about blockchain technology in Nepal, despite the country's ban on cryptocurrency. Our vision is to leverage the power of blockchain technology to transform industries, empower individuals, and promote decentralization and transparency in Nepal. We are passionate about helping the youth pursue Web 3.0 technology and become the driving force behind the blockchain revolution in Nepal.

Through a range of events including Meetups, Blockchain 101 Sessions, consultations and workshops, our team has been at the forefront of the conversation on blockchain in Kathmandu. In the first quarter of this year, we remained highly active in leading discussions on this technology. We engaged with various stakeholders such as students, professionals, authorities, and government bodies, organizing a total of 9 Blockchain 101 Sessions, along with one physical and one virtual Meetup. Furthermore, we launched a successful fellowship program that enrolled 22 fellows, featuring 10 weekly sessions, including two with guest speakers. The program is being led by five instructors and supported by five mentors, all of whom are experts in their respective fields. Our team aims to continue building a thriving community of blockchain enthusiasts in Nepal and promote the growth and adoption of this technology.

With this aim, we have collaborated with various organizations, including the Prime IT Club, CSIT Association of Nepal, and the Digital Notice Media Lab of India. By partnering with these entities, we have been able to expand our reach and raise awareness about the advantages of blockchain technology. Additionally, these partnerships have facilitated the adoption of blockchain in a range of industries, as well as helped us foster a strong blockchain community.

Our upcoming mission is to continue to spread the knowledge of Ethereum and build the ecosystem but we want to identify, coordinate and grow with other local and regional partners as well. We aim to continue our support to individuals, publics and private organizations in exploring web 3.0.

The financial support provided by the Ethereum Foundation's Ecosystem Support Program has been critical in helping us continue our educational initiatives. We have thus been able to promote the growth of Nepal's blockchain ecosystem by raising awareness about web3.0 technology, driving its adoption among Nepali youth, and persuading more individuals and businesses to appreciate its benefits and embrace its adoption
